Mittagong Branch Relief Society celebrated 170th anniversary of Relief Society with a high tea.

Sisters from Mittagong Branch, Southern Highlands, NSW Australia Macarthur Stake, celebrated the 170th anniversary of Relief Society by having a high tea at the Mittagong Chapel on Saturday 17 March 2012.

Sister Heather Orrock provided a beautiful Royal icing cake made by her niece, Mrs Jenny Macarthy. It was decorated to the theme "Charity Never Faileth" and had the Relief Society emblem inscribed on it.

Kings Park and Botanic Garden in Perth, Western Australia, has a number of tree-lined avenues, set aside to honour service personnel who died in the two World Wars and other engagements.

At the base of each tree is a plaque inscribed with the name of the deceased, age, date and manner of death and who dedicated the plaque.

Ronda Wakeley became affiliated with the Relief Society of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Sydney when she was eighteen. This year Ronda joins 6 million women worldwide in celebrating the 170th birthday of the organisation.

Pollie Pedal is an annual, bi-partisan, 1000K bike-a-thon designed to allow political leaders and other vigorous citizens to raise money for a good cause.
